Sometimes it seems that Rorty cannot avoid strong metaphisical concepts, so that he criticizes them through other ones (that is language and its analysis essentially) that are metaphisical all the same. However, sometimes he tries to inform about his intention not to give objective weight to his words. Anyway, above all, the book is of fundamental importance to set a good basis for spirituality as such. It is philosophical, not spiritual, but we can’t complain about this, because this is what the book was meant to be.
